Boneham & Turner support National Apprenticeship Week
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we welcomed 30 T-Level students from West Notts College to our business. The purpose of the day was to highlight the importance of engineering apprenticeships and to showcase our manufacturing techniques.
Additionally, we were also joined by University Wolverhampton Racing and professional racing driver Shane Kelly, who brought along their Formula Renault Car.
After a talk from our co-Managing Director Charles Boneham, the students were taken on a tour of our factory. Then, much to their delight, they had an opportunity to have a go at wheel changes on the Formula Renault car. To add a competitive element, they were all timed, with the quickest being 9.4 seconds. Shane Kelly can do it in 6 seconds, so this was a great achievement ??
