What is your apprenticeship and how long is it?
Engineering Technician Level 3
3 years
How long been with Boneham & Turner?
3 ½ years
Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship?
I have always been better at learning and developing skills when I can physically do them, as opposed to classroom and textbook learning.
What do you like most about working here?
I find the work that I do very interesting. Additionally, the working environment and teamwork make our harder challenges a lot easier to deal with.
What are your future plans?
For now, I am focussed on finishing my apprenticeship and perhaps doing my Level 4. Then I would like to hone and perfect my skills and take all the opportunities I can to be better
What advice would you give to people thinking of doing an apprenticeship?
Doing an apprenticeship is a great way to work, learn and earn, but your attitude will make or break it. Allow yourself to be taught and be open to criticism. Don’t let the title of apprentice prevent you from taking any less responsibility than anyone else.
